Goshen College Indoor Tournament
January 25th, 2010Who: You and other Ultimate players
Who: You and other Ultimate players
We finished our last night of fall league on Tuesday. The numbers dwindled as the weather got chillier, and the last two weeks we combined teams and played one game. We still had fun, despite the temperature being around 50 with a steady rain.
If you’re looking for an opportunity to play this winter, we will probably be scheduling an indoor hat tournament for some time early next year. There will be more information forthcoming, as soon as we figure out the details.
See you in the spring!
We are pleased to have a showcase game during Goshen College’s homecoming weekend, October 2-3. We will be playing on the soccer fields immediately following the soccer game, which starts at 2. We will probably start around 4.
Come out and show your support for Ultimate! If you are an alumni and interested in playing, please send an email to goshenultimate (at) gmail.com so that we know how many people will be coming.
See you all there!

Hey, everyone.
Thanks for signing up for Goshen Ultimate Fall League! The rosters are set and the shirts are ordered. They should be in for next week! You can find the rosters here: http://www.goshenultimate.com/?page_id=155
We will have Goshen Ultimate discs for sale for $5. See me if you are interested.
See you all on Tuesday!
We will be hosting a fall league beginning on September 8 and going through October 27. Games will be played by the golf course behind the Rec-Fit on the Goshen College campus from 5:15-6:30.
Cost will be $15 for everyone and will include a cotton league shirt. All payments should be brought on the first night (no online pay, bring cash or check).
Please fill out the form if you are interested in playing so we have an idea of who will be coming out to play. We will be forming teams the first night so plan on coming next Tuesday.

Hey, GUSLers.
I realize some of you may be back to school or may have moved on to bigger and better things, but I wanted to send a reminder that we will be meeting at Oxbow again tonight at 6:30 to play some pickup Ultimate. Everyone is invited to come and run around for a game or two. Bring a light and a dark shirt to help differentiate teams.
Also, I wanted to thank everyone for making the first year of Goshen Ultimate Summer League a success. We met our goals of having fun and teaching people!
There may be one more email in the next couple weeks about a fall league. We are trying to work out the details to have a short, laid-back season on the south side of town. We are still working out the details, but will let you know when decide for sure.
This coming Tuesday will be the final week of the inaugural season of Goshen Ultimate Summer League! We are still planning to have the party as previously scheduled. However, there will be one extra round of games. We will start with semifinals right at 6:30, capped at 7:45. The finals will then start right at 8. Both games will be to 13.
Everyone should still come and enjoy the festivities. The league will be providing hamburgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs, buns, and condiments. You should bring any side/dessert/drink that you want. Also bring your family and friends! There will be plenty of food, and we will have cups on sticks, corn hole, bocce, and other yard games for people to play.
We will be passing out some awards after the finals, and there will be fantasy Ultimate during the finals. Come and have a great time.
Looking forward to seeing you all there!
We are going to try to get at least one round of games in tonight. The weather doesn’t look too promising, but please show up anyway. Hopefully it will clear off enough to play a little.
Last night was the last night of regulation for GUSL. All three fields went 2-1 with relatively close games. On field 1, Red and Gold played the maximum amount of points as all three games were 7-6. Teams are ready for the tournament, which starts next week. There will be more information on that in the coming days.
We had a good turn out again last night, except for Gold of course. The weather was beautiful and it looked like everyone had a good time. I know our Red team did, despite losing the final game on double game point. The clouds dissipated towards the end of the night, letting the sun shine across the fields into everyone’s eyes. Scores are up on ScoreReport.
Also, the Elkhart Truth ran an article on the Goshen league today. You can check it out here: http://www.etruth.com/Know/News/Story.aspx?ID=487461
We collected enough money to make it an easy decision to line the fields again. There will be fresh lines in a couple of weeks! And they will last through the final week of the season.
