Guidelines
1. DON’T BE A JERK
A. Good-natured heckling is part of the game and is fine when done in fun.
B. Insulting/mocking someone is not ok. We’re all smart enough to know which is which.
C. We play in a public park next to a playground. Please watch your language.
2. Everyone participates
A. Throw to people who are open, not just to people you know
B. Guys, don’t look off women. We’re a co-ed league.
3. Those with more experience teach those with less. Those with less experience be open to learning new things, especially if you’ve only played pickup.
A. Especially the first few weeks, you are encouraged to pause a game to explain rules. Don’t do something over; explain and do it right the next time
B. When you’re on the sidelines take time to talk to other players to help them improve (whether they are on your team or not).
Please note: for safety reasons, SHOES ARE REQUIRED. We recommend wearing cleats if you have them, otherwise tennis shoes are fine.
